NY Rangers – From Underachievers to the top of the League
The NY Rangers started the 2011 NHL season as underachievers, but since the slow start Head Coach John Torterella has found the combination of lines that are finally putting the work in. The biggest free agent signing last summer was easily Center ice-man Brad Richards. Thus far this season, Brad Richards has been a perfect fit for the team, but maybe the most impressive part of the Rangers 2011 NHL season has been the young defense.
Richards, Fedotenko and Head Coach John Torterella all won a Stanley Cup together in Tampa Bay, and they hope to do the same in Manhattan this year. That sounds like all the pieces that make up a Championship Hockey team. But can they keep it going?
New Winnipeg Jets logo launched
The Winnipeg Jets have finally launched the new logo that the team will be going with this season after months of waiting. The new logo features a silhouette of a CF-18 Hornet fighter jet pointing north, centered on top of a red Canadian Maple Leaf.
